Lemon Kale Detox Blend
Spring is the number one best time of the year to release toxins
from your body. Known in Ayurvedic medicine as “ama”, toxins stored deep in the ice of snowcapped mountaintops roll down the mountainside into the valleys in the spring – the metaphor for fluids and mucus releasing waste from the body. If we don’t help our bodies to freely move toxins at this time of the year, we can end up feeling pretty sluggish and moody.
Spring is the season of the liver-gall bladder meridians in Chinese medicine. Lemon is one of the best all time liver-cleansers (next to beets). “Limonene” found in the skin of lemons is a nutrient that supports liver detoxification processes. Malic acid in apples
has been shown to help reverse muscle fatigue following exercise, reducing tiredness, poor energy levels, and improving mental clarity. This is just one of 10+ recipes you’ll receive in the
Modern Medicine 21-Day Detox.
